day1, 6-17-2004 saint catherine festival

The Saint Catherine of Siena Festival opened on June 17th, 2004. There was a threat of rain, as usual, but it held off for the most part. The opening day is always the hardest. Like a new play, everyone is still learing their lines and trying to get the timing right. There were new foods introduced (Fish and Chips, Chicken Nuggets, Sausage Rolls, fresh fruit creations etc), there were the normal mechanical issues (refrigeraton, electrical, setup) that had to be worked through, but it was a successful opening act! This photo album is from snapshots taken on June 17th only. There will be albums of the 2nd and 3rd Festival days as well.
